Salamis

We wanted to visit the archaeological site at Salamis, which Ann and David had been to 50 years ago. Salamis is in the Turkish-occupied part of Cyprus, in the north-east, so was a long drive from Paphos. Since Cyprus doesn't treat the Turkish part as legitimate, there are absolutely no signs to the border, so it took a long while to find the crossing. Then, because the Turks have different names for all the places on our maps, we had a hard time finding the way to Salamis. We also had a huge thunder and hailstorm. But we eventually made it.
